1 What it costs
Priced on whichever is higher — actual or volumetric weight (L×W×H cm ÷ 5000). 30 kg cap per box. Live prices: Sherpr quote.
Use boxes, not suitcases
Sherpr charges the same per box or bag — so don't buy luggage. Get boxes free from a supermarket, Olio or Freecycle, or cheap from Argos or a storage shop like Big Yellow. Double-tape the base, keep each box ≤ 20 kg for the £35 rate, and label it clearly.
2 Tonight's checklist
- Weigh/pack each bag to ≤ 20 kgKeeps every bag at the £35 rate.
- Book the Friday-morning collection tonightNext-day collection needs booking in the ~5-hour window.
- Print the shipping labelsA printer is required — do it before it's packed.
- Arrange free mattress collection for Sat AMOlio / Freecycle / Nextdoor, or council bulky waste.
3 The mattress — don't
Challenge: shipping the matelas loses money
It's priced on volumetric weight and capped at 30 kg per item. A standard double (≈190×140×25 cm) computes to ~130 kg volumetric — refused or billed as several items, realistically £150–250+. A new foam mattress in France is ~€70–130. Sleep on it Friday, give it away for free collection (Olio / Freecycle / Nextdoor) Saturday morning, or book council bulky-waste in advance.
4 What goes where
Your boxes arrive 3–4 days after you do — so anything you need before then stays with you.
